If you think of yourself as less than a 10 in physical appearance identify your other fine qualities and emphasize them. Keep the importance of looks in perspective.
Research on the "depressive realism phenomenon" has shown that depressed people are actually more accurate than nondepressed people at assessing their abilities and self-images. This research implies that most of us are viewing our lives through rose-colored glasses-believing that we are better than we actually are.
